About The BioMedEng Association

The Association of Biomedical Engineers, Medical Engineers and Bioengineers (BioMedEng Association) represents a broad field of multidisciplinary activity that uses engineering tools and techniques to solve problems arising in biology and medicine. The Association is a registered charity (RCN 1191005) and welcomes members from academia, industry and healthcare at all career stages.

The Association runs the annual conference, the biggest gathering of bioengineers in the UK and a fantastic forum for networking and sharing the latest research in this multidisciplinary field. We also have an active early career researcher (ECR) community with a mentoring programme, special networking events and other activities to support career development.

Aside from the conference, most of the activities organised by the Association are led by the Working Groups which cover: Education, Industry, ECR, Comms, and EDI. Each working group is chaired by a member of the Association's Council, working together with the Council Chair and the Trustees.
